The background was enhanced with screens from Donna Downey using the new Tim Holtz Metallic Stains. I was also able to slip in some of the new Prima Junkyard Findings to the page as well. The zipper pulls, clocks and gears are fantastic and more stock is enroute as well as the screens and stains.

Some inspiration
We had a great time last night during our late night crop with lots of fun stories, laughing and creating. Here is one of my projects that was completed using the fabulous new line from 7 Dots Studio - Domestic Goddess! I love how the colors can go from yellows to pinks and then into the reds. If you haven't come in to check out this great paper, what are you waiting for??

More Patina Inspiration
Its been a busy day in the Lounge with creations. I have a restock of my Vintaj patinas arriving on Monday and couldn't wait to play with them again. This coming week's make and takes will be all about patinas and the beauty they bring to metals. These vibrant paints aren't just for metals, don't forget to play with them on chipboard or other mediums.
The Scrapbook Lounge is heading to the Canadian Scrapbooker Carnival and Creative Stitches Alive Show on Thursday September 13th and will be closed until Tuesday September 18th. We are sorry for any inconvenience. If you require any supplies the Scrapbook Lounge will also be set up at the Crop Haven Crop at the MFRC for the weekend.
Happy Scrapbooking everyone!!

My First Magazine Cover
I recieved my copies of the Fall 2012 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker in the mail a couple of days ago, and I was so
excited to see that the layout I contributed made the cover and is actually in print!! I can't
show my layouts for the magazine on my blog or newsletters prior to the release, so I have been quite anxious to share.
If you haven't seen
this magazine yet you've got to check it out!! If you are looking for a
magazine that is just PACKED with inspiring projects, this is the one for you.
Personally, for me what makes a good magazine is one that has a LOT of layouts
and plenty of tips and tutorials. This one has it all! I am not a new scrapper
so it takes some pretty new ideas to capture my attention. So far every issue
I've received has really impressed me with great ideas, new ways to use
products, beautiful project ideas and staying on top of the newest trends. If you haven't recieved your copy in the mail and want to pick one up, they are available at the store for $11.99. You also don't want to miss their upcoming event in Sherwood Park on September 14 & 15th.
Here is a link to Canadian Scrapbooker if you'd like to
check it out for yourself! There is also a beautiful sketch available monthly
for the readers to try out.
